Thailand Cambodia border crossings: closed

Land crossings remain suspended: mapped locations, closure information and alternatives.

Thailand Cambodia border crossings remain suspended in the government travel advice checked on 21 October 2026. These maps locate the border posts; they are not directions to an open passenger service. No passenger opening hours apply while the suspension remains in force, and no reopening date is confirmed by the sources reviewed.

Closed: the current position

UK advice updated in October 2026 says Thailand–Cambodia land crossings remain suspended. Australian advice also reports land-border closure. This affects the ordinary overland passenger plan even if a traveller holds a valid visa. Any narrowly authorised repatriation, humanitarian or cargo movement is not evidence that tourists may cross.

Opening times during the closure

Status for the checkpoints below: closed to ordinary cross-border passenger travel under the reported suspension. Hours: not applicable while closed. Reopening: not announced in the reviewed advice. Old 06:00–22:00 schedules or a map app’s business hours should not be used to plan a crossing during the suspension.

An e-Visa does not override a closure

Cambodia’s official e-Visa service separately lists Poipet and Cham Yeam as temporarily closed for e-Visa entry. Its current port list controls where that visa can be used. Distinguish visa-format acceptance from the wider land-border suspension. If flying instead, confirm the airline, arrival airport and Cambodian entry documents directly.

Safer itinerary planning while Thailand Cambodia border crossings are suspended

Choose a confirmed lawful route with appropriate entry documents instead of travelling to the gate to test an old timetable. Check current flight availability using the transport guide, keep transfers flexible and recheck the official advice before departure. The UK advises against all but essential travel within 20 km of this land border; a closed crossing is not a sightseeing stop.

Confirm both sides before departure

Contact the responsible immigration checkpoint with your nationality, visa type, intended direction and travel date. Ask whether foreign-passport passengers are being processed, what time passport clearance stops and which transport is operating. An open cargo lane, a local border pass or a map listing does not answer those questions.
