The Gulf islands

Our initial Gulf island collection focuses on Ko Tao and nearby Ko Nang Yuan. A sensible island plan includes unscheduled time and an explicit fallback if a boat outing changes. We do not publish assumed ferry connections or describe straight-line distance as journey time.

Choose your pace

One island base usually makes more sense than several short stays when time is limited. Choose water activities only after checking an operator’s current conditions, qualifications and cancellation policy.

How to use this collection

Begin with a destination guide, then save individual places. The places list contains only reviewed, published records. Unknown hours, fees and access details remain unknown; check the linked operator before a time-sensitive visit.

Places to begin.

ko tao · beaches

TAT lists Sairee Beach among Ko Tao’s highlights. It offers a beach subject to build into a trip whose identity need not depend entirely on diving. Use the beach as a reason to leave unstructured time, while checking your chosen accommodation and transport separately.

ko tao · islands

Ko Nang Yuan appears in TAT’s Ko Tao guide as a nearby island highlight. Consider it as a separate excursion decision rather than something that must be squeezed into every island stay. The appeal should be weighed against the transfer and current visitor rules.
